Kokkulepe Eesti Vabariigi valitsuse ja Rootsi Kuningriigi valitsuse vahel merealapiirist Läänemeres
Konventsiooni ratifitseerimise seadus
Välisministeeriumi teadaanne välislepingu jõustumise kohta
Eesti Vabariigi valitsus ja Rootsi Kuningriigi valitsus, edaspidi nimetatud pooled,
soovides kindlaks määrata kahe riigi mandrilava ja majandusvööndite piiri Läänemeres,
võttes arvesse 1982. aasta ÜRO mereõiguse konventsiooni sätteid ning rahvusvahelise õiguse muid asjakohaseid põhimõtteid ja reegleid,
on kokku leppinud alljärgnevas:
Artikkel 1
Piir Eesti ja Rootsi mandrilava ning majandusvööndite vahel moodustub sirgjoontest (geodeetilistest joontest), mis ühendavad artiklis 2 nimetatud geograafiliste koordinaatidega punkte.
Poolte kokkulepitud koordinaadid on määratletud süsteemis «World Geodetic System 1984» (WGS 84).
Piirijoon on ära näidatud käesolevale kokkuleppele lisatud kaardil.
Artikkel 2
Artiklis 1 viidatud geograafilised koordinaadid on järgmised:
| Punkt A | 58o01,440’N | 20o23,755’E |
| Punkt B | 58o11,981’N | 20o22,280’E |
| Punkt C | 58o28,979’N | 20o26,367’E |
| Punkt D | 58o46,812’N | 20o28,448’E |
Punktist D kulgeb piirijoon punkti, mis lepitakse kokku kolmanda asjaomase riigiga (punkt E).
Artikkel 3
Käesolev kokkulepe jõustub kolmekümne päeva möödumisel kuupäevast, mil pooled on teineteisele kirjalikult teatanud kokkuleppe jõustumiseks vajalike põhiseaduslike protseduuride täitmisest.
Koostatud Stockholmis 2. novembril 1998 kahes originaaleksemplaris eesti, rootsi ja inglise keeles, kusjuures kõik tekstid on võrdse jõuga. Lahknevuste korral tõlgendamisel prevaleerib ingliskeelne tekst.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA
AND
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN
ON THE DELIMITATION OF THE
MARITIME ZONES IN THE BALTIC SEA
The Government of the Republic of Estonia and the Government of the
Kingdom of Sweden,
hereinafter referred to as the Parties,
wishing to determine the delimitation of the continental shelf and the exclusive economic zones of the two States in the Baltic Sea;
taking into account the provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and other relevant principles and rules of international law;
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The delimiting the continental shelf and the exclusive economic zones of Estonia and Sweden follows the straight lines (geodetic lines) connecting the points with the geographical co-ordinates referred to in Article 2.
The co-ordinates agreed to by the Parties are defined in the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS-84).
The line of delimitation is illustrated on the map attached to the present Agreement.
Article 2
The geographical co-ordinates referred to in Article 1 are the following:

| Point C | 58o28,979’N | 20o26,367’E |
| Point D | 58o46,812’N | 20o28,448’E |
From point D the delimitation line shall continue to a point which is to be agreed upon with the third State concerned (point E).
Article 3
This Agreement shall enter into force thirty days after the date when the Parties have notified each other in writing that the necessary constitutional procedures for its entry into force have been completed.
Done at Stockholm on November 2, 1998 in two copies in the Estonian, Swedish and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of any divergence of interpretation the English text shall prevail.
