Eesti Vabariigi valitsuse ja Korea Vabariigi valitsuse vaheline haridus-, teadus- ja kultuurikoostöökokkulepe

Välisministeeriumi teadaanne välislepingu jõustumise kohta
Koostatud 25. juunil 2001. a Tallinnas, jõustunud 20. juulil 2001. a
Eesti Vabariigi valitsus ja Korea Vabariigi valitsus (edaspidi pooled),
soovides arendada kahe riigi kultuuri-, haridus-, teadus-, kunsti- ja
spordikoostööd, on kokku leppinud järgmises.
Artikkel 1
Pooled soodustavad ja lihtsustavad otsekontakte ning koostööd mõlema riigi ülikoolide ning muude õppe- ja teadus- ning arendusasutuste vahel ning aitavad kaasa teadustöötajate, õppejõudude, ekspertide, üliõpilaste ja sportlaste vahetusele.
Artikkel 2
Pooled soodustavad haridus-, teadus- ja kultuuriteabe, -dokumentide ja -trükiste vahetust.
Artikkel 3
Pooled kutsuvad teineteist rahvusvahelistele kongressidele, kollokviumidele, sümpoosionidele, seminaridele ja muudele sellistele nõupidamistele.
Artikkel 4
Et suurendada teadmisi teise poole keelest ja kultuurist, soodustab pool oma riigis teise poole silmapaistvate kirjandus- ja kunstiteoste tõlkimist ja avaldamist ning kutsub teist poolt oma riigis peetavatele keele-, kirjandus- ja kultuurialastele suvekursustele.
Artikkel 5
Pooled vahetavad kultuuri-, ajaloo- ja geograafiaalaseid õppematerjale, et mõlemas riigis oleks tõene ja küllaldane teave käesoleva kokkuleppe sõlminud riikide kohta.
Artikkel 6
Pooled aitavad kaasa mõlema riigi raamatukogude koostööle ja soodustavad raamatukogude vahel trükiste vahetamist ühiselt huvipakkuvatel aladel.
Artikkel 7
Pooled vahetavad teavet oma riikides korraldatavate kunstiürituste ja festivalide kohta ja aitavad kaasa nendest osavõtmisele.
Artikkel 8
Pooled vahetavad kaunite kunstide ja tarbekunstinäitusi.
Artikkel 9
Esinemiskunstide valdkonnas aitavad pooled kaasa oma esindajate osalemisele mõlemas riigis peetavatel muusika- ja muudel kultuuriüritustel ning soodustavad muusikute ja kunstnike vahetust.
Artikkel 10
Pooled edendavad koostööd arheoloogia ja museoloogia ning kultuuripärandi säilitamise ja taastamise valdkonnas ning vahetavad seda valdkonda käsitlevaid trükiseid.
Artikkel 11
Pooled aitavad kaasa mõlema riigi raadio-, televisiooni-, filmindus- ja ajakirjandusalaste otsekontaktide sõlmimisele ning soodustavad programmide ja muu materjali vahetamist
Artikkel 12
Pooled aitavad kaasa mõlema riigi spordi- ja noorteorganisatsioonide otsekoostööle, et soodustada delegatsioonide, meeskondade, treenerite, ekspertide ja üliõpilaste vahetust ning ka informatsiooni ja dokumentide vahetust eri spordialadel ja noorsootöö valdkonnas.
Artikkel 13
Kokkuleppe elluviimiseks konsulteerivad pooled vajaduse korral teineteisega, et saada üksikasjalikumat informatsiooni või valmistada ette konkreetseid programme või korraldada kultuurikoostööd.
Artikkel 14
Kokkulepe jõustub päeval, mil saabub viimane kirjalik teade, millega pooled teavitavad diplomaatiliste kanalite kaudu teineteist siseriiklike õiguslike protseduuride täitmisest.
Artikkel 15
Kokkulepe jääb jõusse määramata ajaks. Kumbki pool võib kokkuleppe kehtivuse lõpetada, teatades oma kavatsusest diplomaatiliste kanalite kaudu vähemalt üks aasta ette.
Lõpetamise korral võtavad pooled kasutusele meetmed, et tagada kokkuleppe kehtivuse ajal alustatud mis tahes ühisprojektide lõpuleviimine.
Eespool toodu kinnituseks on oma valitsuste volitatud isikud kokkuleppele alla kirjutanud.
Koostatud Tallinnas 25. juunil 2001. aastal kahes eksemplaris eesti, korea ja inglise keeles; kõik tekstid on võrdselt autentsed. Kokkuleppe tõlgendamisvaidluste korral võetakse aluseks ingliskeelne tekst.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA AND THE
GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA
ON CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL AND
SCIENTIFIC CO-OPERATION
The Government of the Republic of Estonia and the Government of the Republic of Korea (hereinafter referred to as the “Parties”)
Desirous of further development of their relations in the fields of culture, education, science, art and sports,
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Parties shall encourage and facilitate direct contacts and co-operation between universities, educational and scientific research institutions of both countries, and promote the exchange of scientists, lecturers, experts, students and sportsmen.
Article 2
The Parties shall promote exchange of information, documents and publications concerning education, science and culture.
Article 3
The Parties shall invite each other to the international congresses, colloquia, symposia, seminars and other similar meetings.
Article 4
In order to promote the knowledge of the other Party’s language and/or culture the Parties shall encourage the translation and publication of outstanding works of literature and art of the other Party and invite each other to summer courses in language, literature and culture held in the two countries.
Article 5
The Parties shall exchange educational materials on culture, history and geography in order to furnish each other correct and adequate information about their respective countries.
Article 6
The Parties shall encourage the co-operation between the libraries of both countries and promote the exchange of publications between the libraries in the field of common interest.
Article 7
The Parties shall exchange information on artistic events and festivals organized in their respective countries and encourage participation in these events.
Article 8
The Parties shall exchange exhibitions in the fields of fine and applied arts on a reciprocal basis.
Article 9
In the field of performing arts the Parties shall encourage their representatives to take part in music and other cultural events held in both countries and promote the exchange of musicians and other artists.
Article 10
The Parties shall promote co-operation in the fields of archaeology, museology and the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage and exchange publications in related fields.
Article 11
The Parties shall encourage direct contacts between the radio, television, film and the press of both countries and promote the exchange of programmes and other materials.
Article 12
The Parties shall encourage direct co-operation between sports and youth organisations in the two countries in order to promote the exchange of delegations, teams, trainers, experts and students as well as information and documents in various branches of sports and youth activities.
Article 13
To implement the Agreement the Parties shall consult each other, when necessary, with a view to providing more detailed information or preparing concrete programs or arrangements for cultural co-operation.
Article 14
This Agreement shall enter into force on the receiving date of the last notification by which the Parties have notified each other, through diplomatic channels, of the completion of their internal legal procedures.
Article 15
This Agreement shall remain in force for an indefinite period of time. Each Party may terminate this Agreement by notifying of its intent through diplomatic channels at least one year prior to the termination.
In case of termination, the Parties shall take the measures required to guarantee the completion of any joint projects initiated during the valid duration of this Agreement.
In witness whereof, the undersigned, being duly authorised by their respective Governments have signed this Agreement.
Done at Tallinn on 25 June 2001 in two originals in the Estonian, Korean and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation the English text shall prevail.
