turismikoostöökokkulepe
Sõlmitud 10. mail 2000. a
Lissabonis, jõustunud 18. juulil 2001. a
Eesti Vabariigi valitsus ja Portugali Vabariigi valitsus, edaspidi
nimetatud lepingupooled,
soovides tugevdada oma riikide vahelisi sõprussidemeid,
tunnistades turismi tähtsust majandus- ja kultuurisuhete arendamisel ja rahvaste üksteisemõistmise parandamisel,
lähtudes vastastikkuse põhimõttest ja mõlemapoolsest kasust,
leppisid kokku järgnevas:
Artikkel 1
Lepingupooled aitavad kaasa oma riikide vaheliste turismialaste suhete arendamisele, et suurendada turistide hulka ja parandada nende rahvaste vastastikust kultuuri ja ajaloo mõistmist.
Artikkel 2
Lepingupooled püüavad lihtsustada oma riikide vahelisi reisiformaalsusi vastavalt oma riikide õigusaktidele ning toetavad oma riikide territooriumidel tegutsevate reisibüroode ja teiste turismi vallas tegutsevate organisatsioonide ning ettevõtete vastastikust koostööd.
Artikkel 3
Oma vaatamisväärsuste paremaks tutvustamiseks teisele lepingupoolele ja vastastikuste turismireiside hulga suurendamiseks toetavad lepingupooled vastastikku informatsiooni, reklaami ja muude tutvustavate materjalide vahetamist. Samal eesmärgil tutvuvad lepingupooled teise lepingupoole territooriumil turismialaste näituste, messide ja muude ürituste organiseerimisel osalemise võimalustega.
Artikkel 4
Lepingupooled toetavad kogemuste ja oskusteabe vahetamist turismi planeerimise ja rahastamise, turismi infrastruktuuri arendamise ja säilitamise ning turismirajatiste kasutamise alal.
Artikkel 5
Lepingupooled vahetavad hotelli- ja reisisektori töötajate koolitusega seotud informatsiooni ja dokumentatsiooni ning võimaluse korral aitavad teineteist asjaomase personali koolitamisel.
Artikkel 6
Lepingupooled teevad vastastikku jõupingutusi arendamaks turismiga seotud ametkondade koostööd.
Artikkel 7
Kokkulepe jõustub viimase teate saabumise kuupäeval, mil lepingupooled teatavad teineteisele diplomaatiliste kanalite kaudu käesoleva kokkuleppe jõustumiseks vajalike siseriiklike tingimuste täitmisest.
Artikkel 8
Kokkulepe on kehtiv viis aastat ja pikeneb pärast seda automaatselt viie aasta võrra, kui üks lepingupool ei ole teatanud diplomaatiliste kanalite kaudu kirjalikult selle lõpetamisest kuus kuud enne kehtivuse perioodi lõppemist.
Sõlmitud 10. mail 2000 Lissabonis kahes eksemplaris eesti, portugali ja inglise keeles, kusjuures kõik tekstid on võrdselt autentsed. Kokkuleppe tõlgendamislahknevuste korral võetakse aluseks ingliskeelne tekst.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA
AND
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF PORTUGAL ON CO-OPERATION IN THE FIELD
OF TOURISM
The Government of the Republic of Estonia and the Government of the
Republic of Portugal, hereinafter referred to as “the Contracting
Parties”,
Wishing to strengthen friendly relations between their States,
Recognising the importance of tourism for the development of economic and cultural relations as well as for the improving of mutual understanding between their peoples,
In conformity with the principles of reciprocity and mutual benefit,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall make efforts to further and develop tourism relations between their States, particularly for the purpose of increasing tourism traffic between their States and improving the mutual knowledge of culture and history of their people.
Article 2
The Contracting Parties shall endeavour to facilitate travelling formalities between their States in accordance with their respective laws and regulations and shall encourage co-operation between the travel agencies and other organisations and enterprises engaged in tourism in their territories.
Article 3
With a view to making better known to the public of the other Contracting Party their tourism attractions and increasing the bilateral tourist movement, the Contracting Parties shall encourage mutual tourism promotion through the exchange of information, publicity and other promotional materials.
For the same purpose, each Contracting Party shall also examine the possibility of participating in organising exhibitions, fairs and other events in the field of tourism in the territory of the other Contracting Party.
Article 4
The Contracting Parties shall encourage the exchange of the experiences and know-how in the field of planning and financing tourism, in developing and maintaining their tourism infrastructure and in operating tourism installations.
Article 5
The Contracting Parties shall exchange information and documentation in the field of training of personnel in the hotel and tourism sector and if possible, render mutual assistance in the training of the said personnel.
Article 6
The Contracting Parties shall make efforts to develop co-operation between their governmental tourism authorities.
Article 7
This Agreement shall enter into force on the receiving date of the last notification by which the Contracting Parties have notified each other, through diplomatic channels, of the completion of their internal legal procedures.
Article 8
This Agreement shall remain in force for five years and shall thereafter be automatically renewed each time for additional five-year periods, unless denounced by written notification by one of the Contracting Parties at least six months prior to the expiration of each period.
Done at Lissabon on the 10th of May, 2000 in two originals in the Estonian, Portuguese and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation the English text shall prevail.
