Eesti Vabariigi Välisministeerium avaldab lugupidamist Läti Vabariigi Välisministeeriumile ning viidates 7. mail 2010 nootide vahetamise teel sõlmitud viisaküsimustes vastastikuse esindamise kokkuleppele, on tal au teatada järgmist.
Ministeeriumil on au teha ettepanek muuta viidatud kokkuleppe esimest punkti järgmiselt:
nende kolmandate riikide nimekirjast, kus Läti Eestit Schengeni viisade menetlemisel esindab, eemaldatakse Egiptus (suursaatkond Kairos).
Kui Läti pool nõustub nimetatud ettepanekuga, teeb Eesti pool ettepaneku, et see noot ja Läti poole vastusnoot moodustavad 7. mail 2010 nootide vahetamise teel sõlmitud viisaküsimustes vastastikuse esindamise kokkuleppe muutmise kokkuleppe.
Eesti pool teeb ettepaneku, et käesolev kokkulepe jõustub 1. septembril 2010.
Eesti Vabariigi Välisministeerium kasutab avanenud võimalust, et veel kord avaldada Läti Vabariigi Välisministeeriumile sügavaimat austust.

Läti Vabariigi Välisministeerium avaldab lugupidamist Eesti Vabariigi Välisministeeriumile ning tal on au viidata ministeeriumi 24. augusti 2010 noodile nr 8.2-1/9096-1, mille sisu oli järgmine.
«Eesti Vabariigi Välisministeerium avaldab lugupidamist Läti Vabariigi Välisministeeriumile ning viidates 7. mail 2010 nootide vahetamise teel sõlmitud viisaküsimustes vastastikuse esindamise kokkuleppele, on tal au teatada järgmist.
Ministeeriumil on au teha ettepanek muuta viidatud kokkuleppe esimest punkti järgmiselt:

Läti Vabariigi Välisministeerium kinnitab, et Eesti poole ettepanek muuta ülalnimetatud kokkulepet on vastuvõetav. Seega Eesti Vabariigi Välisministeeriumi noot ja käesolev noot moodustavad viisaküsimustes vastastikuse esindamise kokkuleppe muutmise kokkuleppe, mis jõustub 1. septembril 2010.
Läti Vabariigi Välisministeerium kasutab avanenud võimalust, et veel kord avaldada Eesti Vabariigi Välisministeeriumile sügavaimat austust.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and, with reference to the Agreement on mutual visa representation concluded by the exchange of notes on 7 May 2010, as the honour to convey the following.
The Ministry has the honour to propose to amend the first paragraph of the above-mentioned Agreement as
follows:
From the list of third countries where Latvia represents Estonia in matters relating to the handling of Schengen visas Egypt
(Embassy in Cairo) shall be removed.
On the understanding that the Latvian side agrees with this proposal, the Estonian side proposes that this Note and the reply Note of the Latvian side constitute the Agreement on the Amendments to the Agreement on mutual visa representation concluded by the exchange of notes on 7 May 2010.
Estonian side proposes that this Agreement enters into force on 1 September 2010.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia the assurance of its highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia has the honour to communicate that the proposal of the Estonian side to amend the above-mentioned Agreement is acceptable. The Ministry affirms that the Note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia and this Note constitute the Agreement on the Amendments to the Agreement on Mutual Visa Representation that enters into force on 1 September 2010.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia the assurance of its highest consideration.
